Annual Student Exhibition 2025

March 25 — May 10, 2025
This highly anticipated annual event showcases the creativity and talent of UMD’s art and design students, featuring over 80 selected works in a variety of media, including animation, ceramics, digital art, drawing, graphic design, motion graphics, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and video. The exhibition also features branding and environmental design created by UMD graphic design students in collaboration with the Tweed Museum.
The 2025 Annual Student Exhibition (ASE) was juried by two distinguished visiting artists, Teréz Iacovino and Neva Corbo-Hudak, who carefully selected 82 pieces from 307 total entries submitted by 124 student artists.
“Many of the beautifully crafted works found in this juried selection speak to greater themes of belonging, transition, grief, and memory,” Iacovino said. “[The works] reflect the many ways that students at UMD are processing the landscape of our current time and the complexities of how we navigate this time together. These artists give me hope for a future that contains unbounded empathy and humility.”
As in previous years, the exhibition design was created by students enrolled in an upper-level graphic design course taught by Assistant Professor Jennifer Gordon.
